| | Action Description for DOH Webpage: | The suspension of the physician’s New York State medical license is terminated and the physician is subject to conditions and probation for a period of five years.Prior to practicing medicine in New York State the physician must successfully complete a Clinical Competency Assessment (CCA) to the satisfaction of the Director of the Office of Professional Medical Conduct (Director).If the CCA identifies retraining needs, the physician may only practice medicine in a setting and program under the tutelage of a Preceptor approved by the Director and until the retaining has been completed to the satisfaction of the Director.The physician must complete his Continuing Medical Education program within the first six months of his return to practice and must successfully complete a minimum of fifty Category 1 Continuing Medical Education in his specialty each year.The physician is also subject to work hour restrictions and probation terms as outlined in Document A. |
