| Action Description for DOH Webpage: | License suspension for sixty days. The physician’s New York State medical license is limited precluding the practice of medicine until his fitness to practice medicine and clinical competence have been established and approved by the New York State Board for Professional Medical Conduct.Only if the physician is determined fit to practice medicine will the license limitation be lifted and the physician will be subject to conditions for five years. During the period of license limitation the physician may not use his New York State medical license to exempt him from the license, certification or other requirements set for in statute or regulation for the practice of any other profession license, regulated or certified by the New York State Board of Regents, New York State Education Department, New York State Department of Health or the New York State Department of State. Effective October 25, 2016 the physician's New York State medical license is no longer suspended however all other restrictions/limitations remain in effect. |
