| | Misconduct Description for DOH Webpage: | The Hearing Committee sustained the charges finding the physician guilty of having been convicted of Driving While his Ability was Impaired By Drugs; having violated the terms of a previous order; engaging in fraudulent practice; making a false report and engaging in conduct which evidences moral unfitness. Effective April 10, 2015 he Department is subject to a temporary Stay, ordered by an Associate Justice of the Appellate Division of New York State Supreme Court, enjoining the Department from enforcing the Determination and Order. On June 1, 2015 the New York State Court of Appeals denied the physician's appeal thereby vacating the previously granted stay of the Hearing Committee's Order. Therefore the revocation of the physician's medical license will take effect on June 15, 2015 |
