| Misconduct Description for DOH Webpage: | The physician asserted they could not successfully defend against at least one of the charges alleging filing a false report and the fraudulent practice of medicine in conspiring to prescribe and distribute controlled substances that were not medically necessary. Previously on August 29, 2013, an interim order of conditions was issued which precluded all ordering, prescribing, administering and/or dispensing of controlled substances pending the final disposition of the New York State Office of Professional Medical Conduct investigation. Later on January 26, 2024, the New York State Education Department, Board of Regents, denied the physician’s petition for restoration of their New York State medical license. |
