| | Action Description for DOH Webpage: | Order of Conditions which are tolled until the physician returns to active practice in New York State. The physician is prohibited from prescribing or administering any medications during any period when he is not engaged in the active practice of medicine and until he formally returns to medical practice in compliance with the Order and has completed a continuing education program in the area of pain management. Upon return to the active practice of medicine the physician shall be subject to Conditions including that for a period of three years he shall practice medicine only when monitored by a licensed physician board-certified in an appropriate specialty. |
