| Misconduct Description for DOH Webpage: | The Review Board sustained the Hearing Committee's September 11,1997 determination finding the physician was disciplined by the Maine Board of Licensure in Medicine for failing to disclose that he had been previously disciplined by the New York State Board for Professional Medical Conduct. The Review Board overturned the Hearing Committee's penalty of censure and reprimand and revoked the physician's license on December 30, 1997.The New York State Supreme Court ,Appellate Division granted the physician a temporary stay of the penalty on January 7, 1998.The New York State Supreme Court,Appellate Division later annulled the revocation and remitted the matter to the Review Board for penalty reconsideration on September 30, 1998.The Review Board on July 27, 1999 than imposed a penalty of suspension and $10,000 fine.The New York Supreme Court ,Appellate Division granted a stay of the penalty on July 27, 1999 ,that stay was later vacated effective September 24,2000. |
