The physician is not allowed to independently interpret mammographic examinations until he has reestablished his qualifications pursuant to the Federal Drug Agency rules and regulations promulgated in 21 CFR Part 900. The physician agrees to reestablishing his qualifications under the option set forth in 21 CFR 900.12 (a) (l) (iv) (A) (l) by multi-reading at least eight hundred mammographic examinations under the direct supervision option defined in 21 CFR 900.2 (o) (l). The supervising interpreting physician must hold a N.Y.S. medical license; be board certified and qualify as an interpreting physician under 21 CFR 900 (o) (l). The physician also agreed to either for one year only practicing in a hospital licensed under New York State Public Health Law Article 28 or submit proof of the successful completion of specified volumes from the American College of Radiology Professional Self-Evaluation Series and fifty hours of continuing medical education credits. The physician also agrees to a three year practice monitoring period if he operates a mammographic facility. |
