| | Misconduct Description for DOH Webpage: | The Review Board sustained the Hearing Committee's determination finding the physician had been convicted in United States District Court for the Southern District of New York of mail fraud by submitting fraudulent insurance claims for medical services which were either not performed or medically not necessary.The Review Board overturned the Hearing Committtee's penalty of suspension for two years,stayed with probation.The physician's New York State medical license was previously summarily suspended on October 11, 1997,however that suspension was lifted on May 27, 1998. |
