Misconduct Description for DOH Webpage:This order is a modification of the terms and conditions previously imposed under BPMC Order# 24-049 that went into effect on February 28, 2024, and does not constitute a new disciplinary action. The physician did not contest the allegations, in full satisfaction of the charges of misconduct, by having been disciplined by the State of Connecticut Department of Public Health Healthcare Quality and Safety Branch, for deviating from the standard of care with respect to one patient, on one occasion, by operating on the wrong eye; failing to comply with the surgical center’s “time out” protocol and failing to maintain adequate medical records.
