 Misconduct Description for DOH Webpage:The physician did not contest the charge of committing professional misconduct by having been disciplined by the Medical Board of California for the care and treatment of one patient by failing to recognize the patient’s compartment syndrome and treat the condition in a timely manner; failing to measure the patient’s compartment pressures or perform an open procedure until the following day; failing to recognize the appropriate endpoint to avoid causing vascular, neurological, or muscular compromise; failing to measure the compartment measure when fat was injected intramuscularly; failing to adequately document the care provided and discussions, recommendations, and instructions the physician claims they gave to the patient and their private nurse regarding further care and failing to maintain adequate and accurate records regarding the care and treatment of the patient.
