 Misconduct Description for DOH Webpage:This order is a modification of the terms and conditions previously imposed under BPMC Order #20-271 that went into effect on November 3, 2020 and does not constitute a new disciplinary action. The physician assistant did not contest the charge of committing professional misconduct by having violated the terms of probation previously imposed under BPMC# 19-195 that went into effect on August 9, 2019.
  License Limitations or Conditions for DOH Webpage: The physician assistant may not commence practicing as a physician assistant in New York State until all proposed monitors have been approved by the Director (Director) of the Office of Professional Medical Conduct. During the period of probation the physician assistant shall not self-prescribe any medications; shall be monitored by qualified health care professionals and supervised by a licensed physician who shall not be a personal friend, current treatment provider or relative. The practice supervisor shall be on-site at all locations. The physician assistant shall remain active in self-help groups; maintain an ongoing relationship with a sponsor and enrollment in the Committee for Physician Health. The physician assistant shall neither self- treat nor prescribe medications to friends or family members and shall only treat or prescribe medications to patients with whom they have an established/legitimate physician assistant/patient relationship and for a legitimate medical purpose. The physician assistant shall also enroll in and successfully complete a minimum of fifty hours of Category 1 Continuing Medical Education per year for the first two years of probation in their specialty.
