| Action Description for DOH Webpage: | License suspension for an indefinite period. During the period of suspension, the physician assistant is precluded from practicing medicine in New York State and from practicing in any setting where his practice is based solely on his New York State medical license. The physician assistant is also precluded from further reliance upon his New York State medical license to exempt him from the licensure, certification or other requirements set forth in statute or regulation for the practice of any other profession licensed, regulated or certified by the New York State Board of Regents, New York State Department of Education, New York State Department of Health or the New York State Department of State. Upon compliance with all the conditions of this consent order the physician assistant may petition for a modification staying the indefinite suspension after his successful completion of treatment and proof he has regained fitness and competence to practice medicine as a physician assistant after which he will be subject to probation for five years with conditions. Previously, on January 5, 2017, the physician assistant was subject to an Interim Non-disciplinary order of conditions precluding the practice of medicine. |
