 Action Description for DOH Webpage:Indefinite license suspension for a period of no less than sixty months. During the period of suspension the physician is precluded from reliance upon his New York State medical license to exempt him from the license, certification or other requirements set forth in statute or regulation for the practice of any other profession licensed, regulated or certified by the New York State Board of Regents, New York State Department of Education, New York State Department of Health or the New York State Department of State. The physician must also complete a Clinical Competency Assessment (CCA) and any remediation recommendations to the satisfaction of the Director of the Office of Professional Medical Conduct (Director) and the Director may impose additional conditions as a result of the CCA.Upon the completion of the CCA to the satisfaction of the Director the physician will be placed on probation for thirty-six months with conditions.
 Misconduct Description for DOH Webpage:The physician did not contest the charge of having committed professional misconduct by having been convicted in the U.S. District Court, New Jersey, of Racketeering-Transporting in Aid of Travel Act-Acceptance of Bribes, a felony.
  License Limitations or Conditions for DOH Webpage: During the period of suspension the physician is precluded from reliance upon his New York State medical license to exempt him from the license, certification or other requirements set forth in statute or regulation for the practice of any other profession licensed, regulated or certified by the New York State Board of Regents, New York State Department of Education, New York State Department of Health or the New York State Department of State. During the period of probation the physician may practice medicine only when his practice is being monitored by a licensed physician board certified in an appropriate specialty, preferably in the same specialty, and may be subject to further terms and conditions the Director may impose.
