| Misconduct Description for DOH Webpage: | The physician did not contest the charge of having committed professional misconduct by having been disciplined on November 2, 2017 by the Alaska State Medical Board for his drug abuse and dependence and later on February 7, 2018 for his non-compliance with the November 2, 2017 Order terms. Previously on August 23, 2017, the New York State Commissioner of Health had summarily suspended the physician’s New York State medical license based on the March 3, 2017 Alaska State Medical Board Order which had found the physician to be an immediate danger to the public health. On March 6, 2018, the New York State Commissioner of Health rescinded the summary suspension of the physician’s New York State medical license as it was determined that there was no longer an imminent danger to the public health due to the November 2, 2017 action taken by the Alaska State Medical Board. |
