 Action Description for DOH Webpage:The Administrative Review Board affirmed the Hearing Committee’s penalty to suspend the physicians license until the physician has satisfactorily complied with all terms and conditions of the Texas State Board Order or the termination of the Texas State Board Order. The physician must also successfully complete a physician re-entry program approved by the Director of the Office of Professional Medical Conduct and must provide the Director with documentation regarding his sobriety status. The physician is also permanently limited to prevent him from the practice of Interventional Cardiology. The physician may only practice in a group or institutional setting and may not practice as a sole practitioner. Upon the completion of the license suspension the physician will be placed on probation for five years with conditions. Previously on April 4, 2019 the physician's New York State medical license had been summarily suspended by the New York State Commissioner of Health.
 Misconduct Description for DOH Webpage:The Administrative Review Board affirmed the Hearing Committee’s December 24, 2019 determination finding the physician guilty of professional misconduct by having been found by the Texas State Medical Board to have posed an imminent danger to the public health due to an impairment that affects his ability to practice medicine with reasonable skill and safety to patients.

The physician may only practice in a group or institutional setting and may not practice as a sole practitioner. During the period of probation the physician may only practice medicine when his practice is being monitored by qualified health care professionals.
